Celebration Day for Girls

For Daughters between 10 and 12 years old

Celebration Day for Girls was started by Australia’s own Jane Bennett, author of ‘A Blessing Not A Curse’ and ‘About Bloody Time’

They began in 2000 and now are offered all around the world by many facilitators.

The workshops are for girls aged between 10 - 12 and their mums/female carers.

The aim is to prepare your daughter for the changes that are taking place in their bodies, create a positive, nurturing and safe environment for them to ask questions and learn more about healthy options for self-care, as well as simply to provide a held space for mothers and daughters to celebrate with each other, this significant and profound rite of passage.

This event will be facilitated by Fiona Haasz - a short biography about Fiona and more information about the program can be found on their website: https://celebrationdayforgirls.com/facilitator/victoria/

The event is held in two parts. The first is for mums only and is 2 hours. The second part, usually a day or so after the first, begins with the mums dropping off the girls, then returning later for lunch and the afternoon is with both mums and daughters together.

Next Event Dates:

Please get in touch via the button below if you’d like your daughter to be added to a waiting list or if you’d like to book in a group from your daughter’s school or friendship circle.

Where: Lionsa: 24 Fairway Street Frankston

Investment: $165/$125c

The

Meander Project

The Meander Project grew out of the participatory art events, coined ‘Art Adventure Tours’. More events should be occurring in Summer 2023, all things going to plan! Stay tuned!

We are open to interested multidisciplinary artists who wish to facilitate tours.

The events are experiential - participants of all ages, actively create art (song, poetry, photography, drawing etc) along the journey, in direct response to the world around them and each other.

It is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Deep Listening, or the Ngan’gikurunggurr/Ngen’giwumirri term,‘Dadirri’, as well as a personal interpretation of ‘songlines’.

We welcome interested facilitators OR those interested in booking in a Meander Project event, to click the link below:

“My two boys loved their art adventure day. They enjoyed all the planned activities, which were catered to their individual interests. The boys came home excited to share their experiences from the day and were proud to display their artworks from their big day. Thanks Fiona for sharing your passion and enthusiasm for art. The whole day was a hit!”
