Wendy Van Dort: Maha Mantra

Join Wendy for a releasing ritual in which we repeat a mantra around a candle 108 times.

This particular mantra, the Maha Mantra, is from the Satyananda tradition. It is the Maha mantra or "great mantra" because it helps overcome fears... in particular the fear of death. We are repeating this mantra 108 times or one round of beads on the mala. As Easter traditionally represents birth/ rebirth and the cycle of life, this mantra aligns with this theme.

This session is repeated in the evening, so that we have one for each “foot” as per the them of the event.

Wendy is an intuitive bodyworker and runs a well-being clinic in Frankston. She is also an experienced yoga teacher specialising in restorative yoga and somatic movement and trained in the Krishnamacharya hatha tradition. For the last decade, Wendy has been offering yoga classes and events to the wider community and retreats throughout Melbourne.
